Andrea Boeri

Stefano Boeri (1956) is an architect residing and working in Milan, and a teacher of Urban Planning at Politecnico. He designed the Vertical Forest in Milan andVilla Méditerranée in Marseilles. He was a member of the Council for Expo 2015. From 2004 to 2011 he was editor in chief of two international architecture publications: Domus and Abitare. From 2007 to 2012 he was the art director of the International Festival of Architecture FESTARCH. He is the founder of the research agency “multiplicity” (www.multiplicity.it). He has recently published two books: L'Anticittà (Laterza, 2011) and Fare di più con meno (Laterza, 2012). From June 2011 to March 2013 he was the Milan City Councillor for Culture, Design and Fashion; since June 2014 he has been the art director of Estate Fiorentina and a cultural and events consultant for the mayor of Florence.
