Michele De Lucchi

Michele De Lucchi Michele De Lucchi teaches at the Faculty of Design and Arts in Venice. In the days of radical and experimental architecture he was a leading member of movements such as Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis. He has designed for Artemide, Dada Cucine, Kartell, Mauser, Poltrona Frau, Olivetti; has devised experimental projects for Compaq Computers, Philips, Siemens, Vitra. he has designed buildings in Japan, Germany and Italy. Always interested in project, design, technology and craftsmanship, in 1990 he set up Produzione Privata, where he designs products that are made, not to order, using craftsmen’s techniques. His work is exhibited in the major design museums in Europe, the US and Japan. His books include: Michele De Lucchi (Skira, 2002); Michele De Lucchi comincia qui e finisce là (Electa, 2004); he has recently published 12 Racconti con casette (Corraini, 2006).
