Pietro Maestri

Pietro Maestri Pietro Maestri, born 1961. He started in advertising in 1962, as a model for Shell. He was the smiling baby in mummy’s arms. The pay wasn’t great and anyway it went to his parents. Soon after, he decided he wanted something more out of the world of advertising. After two years learning the ropes at McCann, he was taken on at Ogilvy & Mother, and two years later he became Creative Group Head for Young & Rubicam. In 1988 he was appointed co-creative director at TBWA. In 1991 he and a partner started Transatlantic, which in 1994 was bought by WPP to merge with Conquest, then Red Cell. Pietro became Executive Creative Director and Senior Partner. Since 2002 has been Executive Creative Director and member of the Italian and International Board of Directors at JWT. He and his creative team have restored JWT’s position among the top agencies in Italy.
