Giovanni Sollima

Giovanni Sollima born in 1962, cellist and composer, studied in Palermo, Salzburg and Stuttgart. His music is played all over the world by important classic interpreters, such as Yo-Yo Ma, Riccardo Muti with the Scala Philarmonic Orchestra, Daniele Gatti, Gidon Kremer, Mischa Maisky, Viktoria Mullova, Ruggero Raimondi, Mario Brunello, Bruno Canino, Yuri Bashmet, Katia Labèque. His Violoncelles, vibrez! is the most played classical piece of a living Italian composer in the world. His new album We were trees, featuring also Violoncelles, vibrez!, has just come out on Sony Records.
