Mauro Agnoletti is Professor of Agricultural and Forestry Systems Planning and Environmental History at the School of Agriculture of the University of Florence. He is president of the Landscape Observatory of the Region of Tuscany, scientific coordinator of the Register of Rural Landscapes in the field of rural development policies at the Ministry of Agriculture, and president of the scientific committee of the FAO World Programme on Agricultural Heritage. He has worked with UNESCO, the World Bank, the Council of Europe and the Convention on Biological Diversity. His works include Historical Rural Landscapes. For a national catalogue (2010) and History of the forest. Il paesaggio forestale italiano (2018), published by Laterza.
