The fifth edition of Festival della Mente took place in Sarzana August 29_30_31 2008

After the success of last year with an attendance of 31,000 people, the Festival della Mente, conceived and directed by Giulia Cogoli, celebrates its 5th edition (Sarzana, August 29 – 30 – 31, 2008).
This year, the first european festival devoted to creativity and creative processes, promoted by Fondazione Carispe and Comune di Sarzana, will feature more than fifty italian and foreign speakers: writers, artists, musicians, architects, anthropologists, historians, directors, actors, scientists, philosophers, who have dedicated original reflections to the
nature and features of this most valued human faculty.
Every one of them has been asked to deliver a brand new and original lecture, performance, lectio magistralis or workshop.
In fact, we expect them not only to tell us what, but also how and why.

The program of this 5th edition consists of more than 60 meetings – lectures, workshops, shows, meetings, readings, and even workshops for children.

Given its amazing success last year, ApprofonditaMente is back.
Meetings-lessons-workshops under restricted entry, about design, religion, environment, gastronomy, rhetoric, and art. Against the current trend of cultural italian events, each one of the nine ApprofonditaMente meetings,
lasting about two hours and a half, offer an in-depth analysis to a limited number of persons, in order to build a tighter relation between speaker and audience.
22 of the 60-plus meetings are dedicated to children. Drawing workshops, art and tayloring/dressmaking, building musical instruments with recyclable material, a journey into books (reading, producing and printing), a creative
treasure hunt, and a training ground on maths, with games, puzzles and riddles.
