Antonella Fioravanti
Antonella Fioravanti is a scientist pioneering innovative approaches to disarm pathogenic bacteria. Her research – featured in journals such as Nature Microbiology – has advanced new strategies to combat antibiotic-resistant infections. She has received international accolades, including the EOS Pipet Award (2020) from the Royal Academy of Belgium, and has served as a scientific advisor at the Italian Embassy in Brussels. Currently, she is a guest professor at ULB, an evaluator for the European Innovation Council, and President of the Parsec Foundation. Alongside her scientific work, she is committed to science communication, public policy, and championing women in STEM. In 2022, she was named Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by President Mattarella. Viaggio nel mondo invisibile (Aboca, 2025) is her debut book.
