Enrico Alleva Enrico Alleva, ethologist, memberof the Accademia dei Lincei, has been director of the department of behaviouralNeuroscience at the Istituto Superioredi Sanità since 1990. His field is behavioural genetics of mammals and thebiological role of the “nerve growth factor” in stress. He has written some 230peer reviewed publications and 296 articles for the layman for Il Manifesto,L’Unità, La Stampa, Repubblica, L’indice, Linea d’ombra, Lo straniero, Pacee Guerra….He wrote with N. Tiliacos Il Tacchino termostatico, Consigli a ungiovane etologo (Theoria, 1990, 1994).
