Ester Armanino is an architect, writer, and illustrator living in Genoa. Her books include “Storia naturale di una famiglia” (Einaudi, 2011), “L’arca” (Einaudi, 2016) e “Contare le sedie” (Einaudi, 2021). Her books for children include “Una balena va in montagna” (illustrazioni di Nicola Magrin, Salani, 2019) and the picture books “Mia mamma è una matrioska” e “Dolores e io” (Rizzoli, 2023).

Silvia Avallone

Silvia Avallone was born in Biella in 1984 and lives in Bologna. Her books include the international bestseller "Acciaio" (2010, winner of several awards, including the Premio Campiello, finalist for the Premio Strega, and was adapted into a film), "Marina Bellezza" (2013), "Da dove la vita è perfetta" (2017), "Un’amicizia" (2020), and "Cuore nero" (2024), all published by Rizzoli. Her novels have been translated into over thirty countries worldwide.

Gianumberto Accinelli is an entomologist and writer. For years he has been telling nature stories in Il volo del mattino on Radio Deejay and has been selected by Corriere della Sera among the twenty people who are changing Italy. He has published several books including La meravigliosa vita delle api (Pendragon, 2016), I fili invisibili della natura (Lapis, 2017), Breve storia di un raggio di sole (Rizzoli, 2018) and Dagli animali si impara (Piemme, 2022).

Adriana Albini

Adriana Albini is a scientific collaborator at the IRCCS European Institute of Oncology (IEO) and Professor of General Pathology at the University of Milan Bicocca. She was head of the Laboratory of Vascular Biology and Angiogenesis IRCCS MultiMedica in Milan and scientific director of MultiMedica Onlus. She is involved in oncological research, immunology, pharmacological prevention and with food-derived molecules.

In 2018, she was elected to the Board of Directors of AACR (American Association for Cancer Research) for the three-year period 2018-2021. Listed by the BBC as one of the 100 most influential women in 2020, in 2021 she was appointed as head of the new Cancer Prevention Working Group (CPWG) of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). She practices fencing at a competitive level.

Malika Ayane is a song-writer and singer from Milan. Firstly discovered by Caterina Caselli, she started her carreer with five participations to the Italian Festival of Sanremo, two "Mia Martini" Prizes, four Platinum cerifications and one Gold certification for her albums Malika Ayane, Grovigli, Ricreazione and Naif. On March 2021 her latest album Malifesto was released.

Atelier dell’Errore

Atelier dell’Errore is a visual and performative arts laboratory designed in 2002 by the artist Luca Santiago Mora for the Department of Infant Neuropsychiatry in Reggio Emilia, Italy and, from 2014, also for Bergamo Hospital. In the past years it has shown to be not only a valid complementary to clinic procedures but also a relational piece of art. As of that it participated to multiple contemporary art expositions and events, both in Italy and abroad. Since its foundation the only represented subjects are animals, erasers are banned, and errors are considered an added value. In 2015 the artistic collective Atelier dell’Errore BIG was born, so as to render kids real professionals; it has its operational base in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Antonella Anedda Angioy

Antonella Anedda Angioy is a poet and essayist. She has received various national and international awards such as the Montale Award, Viareggio Prize and Pushkin Prize. Her translations of classical and modern poets are collected in the volume Nomi Distanti. Her latest prose volume is Geografie (Garzanti, 2021). Other works: the essay Le piante di Darwin, i topi di Leopardi (Interlinea, 2022) and her latest book of poetry Historiae (Einaudi, 2018), which has been recently published in the United States by the NYRB, in Susan Stewart's translation. The volume Tutte le poesie will soon be published by Garzanti.

Stefano Allievi is a Sociology professor and director of the Master on Islam in Europe at the University of Padova. He deals with migrations and the analysis of cultural change and religious pluralism, with a special focus on the Islamic presence in Europe. He has conducted various research projects on these topics in Italy and abroad, publishing his findings in a number of European languages, Arabic and Turkish. His most recent publications include Conversioni: verso un nuovo modo di credere? Europa, pluralismo, islam (Guida, 2016), Tutto quello che non vi hanno mai detto sull’immigrazione (Laterza, 2016, con G. Dalla Zuanna), Il burkini come metafora.
