Monica Kristensen

Monica Kristensen is born in 1950 in Sweden but grew up in Norway, and she is a mathematician, glaciologist, meteorologist and one of the most famous polar explorer. She has has taken part in many expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic following the traces of Amundsen, and she was the first woman who received the Golden Medal of the Royal Geographical Society. Since her literary debut in 2007, her novels settled in Svalbard Islands – where she spent two year observing the Northern Lights – she became a real cult in many European countries. She recently published her latest novel, Amundsen’s Last Journey. All her novels are published in Italy by Iperborea.

is an editor, curator and photographer, and he organises cultural events linked to photography. He has led the agency Contrasto, the most important Italian photography production house, since 1986; since 1994 he has also directed the publishing house Cotrasto, which has released more than 400 books devoted to international photography. He is the conceptual designer and president of Fondazione Forma per la Fotografia in Milan.

Katia

Elio and Katia Caradonna studied flute and piano
respectively, graduating from the Civica Scuola di Musica in
Milano. Elio came to fame in
1980 with the group “Storie Tese” (coming second at San Remo in 1996).
He will
soon be bringing out a new album after the many already released. He
works with
a classical repertoire as well as theatre and writing. Katia has
devoted her career to chamber music. Elio and Katia bumped into each
other
twenty years on, at the supermarket. A partnership was born and they
have held
concerts of classic contemporary music with animals as their subject.
Chiara Belliti is
editor of children’s literature, and a translator. She is also one of
the
polymorphous creative minds who make up Cervelli Riuniti; a great lover
of fibs,
she worked with Elio on Animali
Spiaccicati (Einaudi, 2004) and Vite
Bruciacchiate (Bompiani, 2006).

Ekkehart Krippendorff

Ekkehart Krippendorff (1934) is one of Germany’s major political experts. Until 1999 he was professor of Political Science at the Free University in Berlin; he has taught at various other universities including: Harvard, Yale,Columbia, New York and Todai University in Tokyo; in Italy at the John Hopkins in Bologna, in Siena and Urbino. He has recently written: Politica internazionale (Liguori, 1991); L’arte di non essere governati (Fazi, 2003); Critica della politica estera (Fazi, 2004).

Chiara Kihlgren

soprano, socio fondatore dell’associazione culturale Il Mondo del Teatro, diplomata presso l’Imperial Ballet School Society di Londra, e laureata presso il Conservatorio di musica e l’Università degli studi di Parma, svolge un’intensa attività concertistica in Italia e all’estero. È impegnata inoltre anche in ambito pedagogico come docente presso il Centro culturale giovanile e multimediale Dialma Ruggiero di La Spezia.
