Marina Rocco, actress, has long collaborated with Filippo Timi, appearing in productions such as Hamlet², Don Giovanni, and The Little Mermaid. Under the direction of Andrée Ruth Shammah, she has starred in classics including Carlo Goldoni’s The Lovers, Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, and Giovanni Testori’s La Maria Brasca. She has worked with Woody Allen in To Rome with Love, Marco Tullio Giordana in Wild Blood, and Paolo Virzì in Magical Nights.

Michela Matteoli is Director of the Neuroscience Program at Humanitas University Hospital in Milan, where she also holds a professorship in Pharmacology. From 2014 to 2023, she served as Director of the Institute of Neuroscience at the Italian National Research Council (CNR). She is a member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), Academia Europaea, and of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. She sits on various international scientific boards, including the European Research Council (ERC) and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). In 2013, she received the Nature Mid Career Mentoring Award. Her research focuses on the role of the immune system and inflammation in the development and functioning of neural circuits. She is the author of Il talento del cervello (2022) and La fioritura dei neuroni (2024), both published by Sonzogno in the series curated by Eliana Liotta.

Paolo Magri is President of the Scientific Committee of ISPI (the Italian Institute for International Political Studies) and Professor of International Relations at Bocconi University. He serves on the Strategic Committee of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Europe Policy Group of the World Economic Forum (Davos), the Board of Directors of LUISS University, the Advisory Board of the Trento Festival of Economics, and the Council of the European Council on Foreign Relations. A contributing journalist, he is a frequent guest commentator on national television and radio. He has edited several volumes for Mondadori, including Il marketing del terrore (con Monica Maggioni, 2016), Il mondo di Obama (2016), The World According to Trump (2017), Il conflitto senza fine (2024) and L’Europa nella età della insicurezza (with Alessandro Colombo, 2024).

Piero Maranghi is the editor and director of Sky Classica (channel 124) and +Classica, a streaming platform dedicated to classical music and culture. Since 2020, he has co-hosted Almanacco di bellezza, a daily cultural current-affairs program with Leonardo Piccinini, which also inspired the book of the same name (Rizzoli, 2021). As a producer, he has created documentaries and docufilms including Teatro alla Scala. Il tempio delle meraviglie and Dentro Caravaggio. In collaboration with RAI, France Télévision and Germany’s HR, he produced Max & Maestro, a 52-episode animated series featuring Daniel Barenboim. He conceived and developed the La Vigna di Leonardo Museum and is director of the Piero Portaluppi Foundation. Together with Paolo Gavazzeni, he has staged opera productions such as Aida, La Traviata, La Bohème, Don Giovanni and La Cenerentola.

Maria Giuseppina Muzzarelli has taught Medieval History, History of Cities and History and Cultural Heritage of Fashion at the University of Bologna. She is interested in the history of culture and the mentality of society, and particularly in women's roles and functions and in material history. She is part of the scientific committee of the programme “Passato e Presente” (Rai 3). Her most recent books include: “A capo coperto. Storie di donne e di veli” (il Mulino, 2016), “Le regole del lusso. Apparenza e vita quotidiana dal Medioevo all’età moderna” (il Mulino, 2020), “Madri, madri mancate, quasi madri. Colum McCann, born and raised in Dublin, teaches at Hunter College and lives in New York. He is the author of eight novels and three short story collections, including “Apeirogon” (2021), “Dancer” (2022), “Let the World Spin” (2022), published by Feltrinelli. He has received numerous awards, including the National Book Award. His latest novel, “A Mother” (with D. Foley), will be translated into Italian and published at the end of August.

Nives Meroi

Nives Meroi is among the greatest mountaineers in history. She has climbed the great classics of the Alps and faced expeditions to South America, the Himalayas and Karakorum. With her husband Romano, she climbed all fourteen eight-thousanders without oxygen cylinders, climbing Sherpas and pre-set camps for the first time. She has published with Rizzoli “Non ti farò aspettare” (2015) and “Il volo del corvo timido” (2020); with Fabbri “Sinai” (with V. Mancuso, 2017); with Skira “Montagne. I giganti della terra” (2021).

Pierre Magistretti

Pierre Magistretti, born in Milan, is a physician and neurobiologist, Professor emeritus at the Polytechnic University of Lausanne (EPFL) and the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva. He is currently Distinguished Professor at KAUST University in Saudi Arabia and a foreign member of the National Academy of the Lincei, the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters, and a member of the European Academy and the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences. He is co-author with François Ansermet of “A ciascuno il suo cervello” (2008) and “Gli enigmi del piacere” (2012), both published by Bollati Boringhieri. With his wife Christine, he wrote a novel about Alzheimer's disease, “Il gioco della mente”, which will be published at the end of August by SEM.
