]]> Giorgio Volpi holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Turin, where he also earned a PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2010. He is a lecturer and scientific technician at the Department of Chemistry in Turin, where his research focuses on luminescence. In 2023, he earned a second degree in Natural Sciences. His essay La natura lo fa meglio (e prima) (Aboca Edizioni, 2024), which examines the relationship between human technology and the ingenuity of nature, was awarded the Green Book Prize. He collaborates with cultural institutions such as Scuola Holden, and contributes to publications including Sotto il Vulcano, Il Tascabile, and numerous international scientific journals.

]]> Ersilia Vaudo has a degree in Astrophysics and has worked at the European Space Agency since 1991. During her career, she has held various positions and worked for four years at the ESA office in Washington DC (USA), where she oversaw relations with NASA. In 2022, she was the curator of the XXII International Exhibition of the Milan Triennale on the theme Unknown Unknowns. An introduction to mysteries. She is president and co-founder of the association Il Cielo itinerante which promotes STEM literacy ‘bringing the sky’ – with a telescope on top of a minibus and STEM camps – among boys and girls in poor areas affected by educational poverty. ]]> Velasco Vitali is a painter and sculptor. In 2005 he joined the collection of the MACRO Museum in Rome. Between 2010 and 2020 he set up several exhibitions, including Sbarco. In 2017 he curated with Peter Greenaway the exhibition Time out in Milan dedicated to Giancarlo Vitali. In 2019 he exhibited Branco at the Reggia di Venaria in Turin and in 2021-22 in Palermo at the bunker room of the Ucciardone prison, Palazzo dei Normanni and other institutional seats.

Inside the bookshop, over the 3.000 volumes, take place many projects, such as La cameretta oscura, a creative and itinerary photographic laboratory for children. The tools used to exacerbate kids’ attention towards images are visual composition, photography, handmade printing and darkroom, used as a vehicle to develop their skills and critical eye.
