Lorenzo Arruga

Lorenzo Arruga Lorenzo Arruga has been a journalist and music critic since 1968. “Led away from an academic career and school teaching”, he has written essays, detective stories, plays and opera librettos and has created and hosted programmes for radio, television  and theatre for the establishment and otherwise. He founded the cultural magazine Musica viva and spent 16 years as its editor. He is also a translator and opera director. His books include:  Il teatro degli enigmi (Mondadori, 2004) and Mozart da vicino (Rizzoli, 2006). DVDs: La Scala (Scala, 2002); CDs: Vivaldi, the meeting (Thymallus, 1998), improvisations with a Cuban drummer.
