Not Vital

Not Vital Not Vital was born in Engadina and he speaks Rumantsch. He lives in Sent (Switzerland), New York and Lucca, but spends at least three months of the year in the Niger desert at Agadez, where he creates his sculptures with the Tuareg and where he has built schools, a cinema, numerous homes and a house just for watching the sunset, in a social-creative dialogue between two extreme places. His works are exhibited in major museums including MOMA and the Guggenheim, New York, and in art galleries all over the world. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2001.
