Giuliano Montaldo Therehas always been a strong link between literature and cinema in the work ofGiuliano Montaldo, proof of which appears in some of his best known films: Il tempo diuccidere, from the same title by Ennio Flaiano,or Gli occhiali d’oro by GiorgioBassani, and his latest film San Pietroburgo, dedicated to the lifeof  Dostojevskij. He will be talking about the film,coming out in the autumn, for the firsttime.  As in all his works, from L’Agnese va a morire on, one of the keythemes is his deeply rooted aversion to intolerance.
