Matteo Motterlini

Matteo Motterlini is professor of Philosophy of Science at the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan. He studied philosophy, economy and cognitive science respectively in Milan, London and Pittsburgh, where he has been Visiting Professor in Social and Decision Sciences at the Carnegie Mellon University. He teaches Cognitive Economy and Neuroeconomy at San Raffaele, and is at the head of the CRESA (Experimental and Applied Epistemology Research Center). Scientific Advisor for the MilanLab - A.C. Milan, he contributes to Il Sole 24 ORE and to Corriere economia. He has written several specialized essays on method, cognition and rationality, such as Economia emotiva (Rizzoli, 2006), translated in many languages, and Trappole Mentali (Rizzoli, 2008).
