Giorgio Diritti
is a filmmaker, scriptwriter and a film editor. He began by collaborating with Pupi Avati, and has since directed documentaries, short films and television programmes. His debut budget movie, Il vento fa il suo giro (2005), became a national talking point, entering more than sixty film festivals across the world, and winning some thirty prizes. His second movie, L’uomo che verrà, presented in 2009 at the Rome International Film Festival, won the David di Donatello prize, among others. Un giorno devi andare, filmed in Brazil and Trentino, and presented at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, stars Jasmine Trinca, winner of the Nastro d’argento in Venice as Best Actress. Diritti’s first novel, Noi due, is scheduled for publication in late August by Rizzoli.
