Alberto Rollo, born in Milan, is a writer, critic, translator and significant figure in Italian publishing. A cultural worker and music lover, he translated, among others, Jonathan Coe, Steven Millhauser, Truman Capote and Henry James. He has published Un'educazione milanese (Manni, 2016, short-listed for the 2017 Premio Strega), L'ultimo turno di guardia (Manni, 2020, winner of L’Aquila International Literary Award and short-listed for Napoli Award), Il miglior tempo (Einaudi, 2021) and Il grande cielo (Ponte alle Grazie, 2023).
