Marilù Gorno Tempini

received a degree in medicine and specialized in neurology in Italy before obtaining a Phd in neuroscience in London. She has lived and worked in San Francisco since 2011, where she is a full professor of neurology at the faculty of Medicine of the University of California San Francisco, where she also directs the Language Neurobiology Laboratory and the Dyslexia Center. Her research focuses on the neural and biological bases of language and higher cognitive functions, and their dysfunction in developmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
