The song of water
Reading Musicale di e con Cristiano Godano e Telmo Pievani
Una produzione FREECOM e Produzioni Fuorivia
Water is in turmoil: in some regions it is scarce, leading to desertification; in others it is abundant, causing floods. The climate is warming, and water is charged with unprecedented energy; atmospheric and ocean currents are melting glaciers, permafrost, and the Arctic ice cap. While the great civilizations who developed near the water considered this element sacred — a source both of life and death — the people of today, deceived by its abundance, waste it. In The Song of Water the music of Cristiano Godano merges with the science of Telmo Pievani to create a secular prayer that conveys concern but also hope: renewable energy, supportive communities, protected marine areas, and new technologies. It is time to rebuild a civilization that regards nature with gratitude.
