Mariangela Gualtieri

And instead, you shine

Sound ritual by and featuring Mariangela Gualtieri
guided by Cesare Ronconi

"I will be revisiting my most recent verses, organising them into chapters of gratitude: children, flowers, the sea, the forest, the sky, love between humans, silence, and other wonders that exist above or below our war-torn world. They are intertwined with the horror we so often inhabit or name, yet often we fail to see what continues to sustain and celebrate life. To fulfill the exhortation of the title – taken from one of the works of the Italian writer Pasolini –  I believe we need to be aware of the wonder around us, which, despite us, continues its mysterious, collective concert: those with eyes, those with wings, those with roots and leaves, those within the seas, and so on. Let a daily spirit of gratitude be born within us." – Mariangela Gualtieri
