Alberto Rollo
The Humble Beauty of Ditches and Majesties
From Giucano onto well-trodden paths that cut through streams and ditches (Fosso del Campaccio, Fosso della Michelina, Fosso della Rocchetta and the Calcandola stream) up to the soft crest of the “Prade” area, a balcony overlooking the sea and the high Lunigiana cordillera. In collaboration with the CAI of Sarzana, a tour of about three hours to talk about the liberating fatigue of walking and imagination, the rustle of literature and the wonder of popular art that has left here small Madonnas (the so-called Majesties) engraved in marble or painted inside the shells of chapels.
