Accessible books for an inclusive community
workshop
120 minutes
15 participants
Books play a key role in building an idea of community that is open and tolerant, in which diversity is not only welcomed but also, and even more so, appreciated. There are special books that do this based on the concept that everyone has a right to read, finding editorial solutions capable of meeting special needs that can actually provide an enriching reading expeience to anyone. By learning about special needs literature for children, we will explore the potential that these unusual and precious books offer for crafting an authentically inclusive growing experience.
