Nom de guerre Lia

When we think about Italian Resistance, we often forget that there is also a world made by apparently marginal episodes, by small heroic acts of solidarity, by love and friendship stories. The tale telling the anonymous heroisms of the women of the Niguarda neighbourhood in Milan is an example. Through the words of the partisan Lia and her fight companions, report to the atmosphere that was felt during that period. A story of freedom that talks about the strength of life: “We were young, we were beautiful, happy. We have to tell about our normality too. We were unconscious, we knew we were taking risks. But we wanted a different, free Italy, and the only choice we had was resist and fight”.
